The programme is a pioneering opportunity designed to develop the talents of the next generation of live sound professionals from global majority backgrounds.

 

Tune into Nature Music Prize 2025

A prize for musicians and singer/songwriters aged 18-30 and resident in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man whose work demonstrates a true collaboration with nature.

With a first prize of £500, the Tune Into Nature Music Prize is being led by a collaboration of recognised environment-loving organisations including the Nature Connectedness Research Group at the University of Derby, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The Conservation Foundation, EarthPercent and Sounds Right.

Sound and Music - In Motion

In Motion is an 18-month artist development programme, which supports 10 composers to design and undertake their own creative and professional journey.

During your time on the programme, you will develop your practice, explore new contexts for your work, create new work to present to an audience and support the next generation of young creators on our In the Making programme.

Free fundraising support for Wales’ event community

Event Wales have funded Richard Newton Consulting via the Sector Support Fund to deliver free to access fundraising workshops and coaching for Wales’ event community.

Events offer social and economic development for Wales, and increasingly event organisers are facing challenges in raising the funds needed to deliver their event. From fetes to concerts, sports events to food festivals, agricultural shows to cultural celebrations, all are welcome on this scheme and learning is intended to help them develop their resilience.

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain - Young Composers Competition 2024

This years Young Composers’ Competition, are looking for six new works (three winners and three runners up). The winning pieces will be rehearsed at the NYBBGB summer course and performed at the Youth Band summer concert in the magnificent Amaryllis Fleming Hall of the Royal College of Music, London under the baton of Maestro Martyn Brabbins on 9th August 2025.
