Ballantine’s True Music Fund x shesaid.so

Ballantine’s, Scotch whisky, has announced the return of its True Music Fund, now open for applications. To date, the initiative has supported over 30 music collectives and will have committed £500,000 in funding by the end of 2025.

This year, Ballantine’s is offering £100,000 to help individuals and organisations bring their dream music projects to life. Applications are open to anyone with a passion for music with the fund helping to unlock that creative part of you and help you push play.

Eight recipients will receive a share of the funding, along with mentorship from industry experts, propelling their dream music project into life whilst staying true to themselves and doing things their own way.

What You Need To Apply for The True Music Fund:

  1. Who's Behind the Project?
Introduce yourself or your team. Share a short paragraph that highlights who you are and what you do.
  2. Show Us What You've Done
Share your online presence (website, social media profiles, or portfolios) and examples of your previous
    projects or work.
  3. Share Your Big Idea
Pitch us your idea in up to 1000 words. Your business plan should outline your vision, goals, and
strategies. Paint us a picture of what you want to achieve with the fund and how it will benefit you in the
    long term.
  4. Countdown to Launch
Lay out a 6-month timeline to show how you'll bring your idea to life. From brainstorming to execution,
walk us through the key milestones that will take you from concept to reality.

Recipients of the grant will be paired with an established industry expert as their mentor, selected based on their ability to help unlock their passion in music and assist in amplifying their voices in the relevant space. With the support of Ballantine’s and shesaid.so’s far-reaching networks, the eight recipients will be able to turn their music dreams into a reality.
