Silent Cinema Challenge - Screen Alliance Wales

As part of the Sinemaes at the National Eisteddfod this year in Pontypridd, Screen Alliance Wales have teamed up with the Screen and Sound Archive to offer a challenge to anyone to create music and one of his films in their collection.
William Haggard was a film pioneer who established cinemas in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area a century ago. One of his films, 'The Sheep Stealer' is on the Archive website, and they will invite people to create a soundtrack and bring your interpretation of the film to reality. Do you see a comic film, or a serious drama? The film can be viewed for free at https://player.bfi.org.uk/free/film/watch-the-sheep-stealer-1908-online
You can create music for the whole 8 minutes, or for any part of it. Send your composition to Screen Alliance Wales at info@screenalliancewales.com by the 14th of June, and they will show it as part of the Cinemaes program in August.
