Music promoters select the talent for music venues and festivals. They are responsible for coordinating live events between the artist, graphic designers, and venue's ticket office.

When music promoters book an artist or band their responsibility is to manage costs between the artist fee, venue budget and marketing costs for the event. Music promoters have to liaise with artists and bands to book shows, and lead marketing campaigns for events.
