Music Venue Manager

Music venue managers overlook the day-to-day operations of their music venue. Communicating with the stage managers, technicians, finance department, promoters, and marketing departments that help run music venues.

Music venue managers overlook all the mechanics and functions of the business, including the recruitment and managing of in-house staff (e.g. bartenders, security, and stage crew) to working alongside music promoters in organising regular and occasional live music events.

Due to the nature of music venues either hosting open mics, festivals and music events like launch parties and tour performances venue managers practice a lot of events management and thus require these core skills:

Events management
Project management
Budget management
Strong understanding of the music industry marketing
A solid understanding of live technical production
People management
