Music Journalist

Music journalists research, write articles, and interview with specialists and artists within the music industry. They're responsible for researching on subjects and stories, editing music news stories and features and conducting interviews for articles and critical music reviews.

Some music journalists work with various large and small music magazine publications but there are music journalists that are outsourced/freelance. 

Music Journalism requires the following skills:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Research and proactive investigation
  • Have an interest in music
  • IT literacy and familiarity with softwares like Photoshop and Java
